So Dave wanted to call it Boleskin but for me it had to be Damask IV so as an executive, I made an executive decision !

The Sola Sound Damask MKIV Tone Bender  ! !

The story: -

February 2025 - The secret and long awaited MKII project had at last come to fruition and the Dave Main version, ‘The Damask ‘was selling well.

Dave discovered he still had 16 Champagne Hammer finish MKIV cases left that kind of matched the MKII – so the Damask transistor set up was implemented. It's a Newmarket OC84 in the front end rather than the Mullard of the Pro MKII, but it's still a Mullard OC42 in the second position, and then two Mullard Green Jacket OC82D's in the back end, one being implemented as a diode.

So classy!

Tonally . . well it’s a MKIV version of the Damask MKII – so beautifully musical. the EQ range is expanded giving a powerful lower end shove but whilst maintaining excellent higher midrange and treble projection. Simply put, it's the same tuning principle applied to the Damask but in a MKIV circuit.
