So, look what just landed at Macaris

A box of totally sublime MKIVs

You may remember a few months back we did a limited run of MKIVs entitled ‘Iris’ – this was due to a bunch of vintage MKIVs being signed on the circuit board by a lady called iris who worked on the Sola Sound production line back in the day and turned out some remarkable pedals . ( check out the last two pics - org 74 circuit with R O S A signature )

This is a similar vibe – ‘Rosa’ was also on the production line and her name features on some of the tastiest vintage MKIVs we’ve come across.

I’ve just plugged it in and, as always, was blown away at the sound – incredible tones – it was like playing an insanely good vintage MKIV Tone Bender.

Only 16 of these quite amazing MKIVs for the World.

Re: Rosas: - The sexy blue one's all have the rare 'none logo' STC's. The later STC types actually have a branded logo, the really early devices, like these, don't. The device type is an 'ASY60'

Tonally, kinda similar to 'Iris' but with a heavy focus on the lower midrange content and a greater degree of gain and drive capability. At full bore it's a very feisty fuzz box, but we opted for a logarithmic taper on the volume control so it's simple to get it back into smoother and more gentle vintage sonic realms. The fuzz structure is stout but with a fluid and soupy break-up. Very dynamic in response with excellent projection.
It sounds as sporty as it looks! :)
