Epiphone Quilt Top Special c 2003
It's a bit special
Well . . . this isn’t normal!!
Firstly this is an amazing 22 year old Epiphone from the Korean factory – pretty good . . . but then it’s in the most incredible deep sea blue burst. Seems to go from deep blue through aquamarine to light green over the most exquisite quilt top ever – in short it looks amazing!
The sound is really impressive. There’s no knocking the Korean Epiphone pickups, plenty of punch and clarity as well as fat sturdy jazz tones. . Oh and some wicked blues vibes in the middle position.
However, here’s the deal clincher. When it arrived it played . . .. Ok! But we thought it was such an outstanding looking guitar that it deserved the royal treatment. So it went over to Rob Wells at Knight Guitars who, in between setting up superstars’ guitars, removed all the frets – re-planed the neck then refretted and dressed the guitar!
Now, I don’t many shops that would do that!
So, now we have a guitar that looks like a custom shop, sounds pretty damn amazing and plays as good as any Gibson in pretty good condition, any surfaces scratches are really on the back – for a 20 odd year old guitar – it’s very good .
We think you’ll like this one – it’s a bit special!
feel free to drop us a message if you're thinking of buying this guitar and would like a short video to hear / see more detail info@macaris.co.uk
