Usually, as soon as a guitar arrives, the first thing we do after checking the electrics and playability is clean it. But this one we didn’t!

This guitar looks like its spent years on the mainstage in hell, amongst the burning embers and flames. It smells like it’s been stored in Satan’s kitchen whilst the demons sat around smoking some exotic hashish and telling dirty jokes!

The condition adds so much to its Rock’n’roll vibe that we thought it would be sacrilege to clean it. Let’s face it – some people pay a small fortune to have somebody make their guitar look this rock – this one is pure and simple honest ageing – it’s real.

Despite how it looks this guitar has not been played into the ground – the fingerboard is dirty but there is very little fret wear. As well as that it sounds totally superb – kind of Slash-like!

So kind of looks much older than its 23 years but without the playing wear you’d expect.
