Felix Manzanero was a renowned Madrid luthier, one of many who trained in the Jose Ramirez workshop. His guitars have been played by numerous famous virtuosos.

This one is from The Manzanero workshops c 1966 . The label is intact , although not signed by FM . This implies it is a model made in the workshop but not soley by FM – the stamp itself though is an indication and seal of approved quality.

This Manzanero Flamenco is a very beautiful instrument. The guitar was made with the highest standard of craftsmanship found in every Manzanero guitar. With the exception of a nasty scratch in the back, the overall condition of this instrument is very good . This guitar was built using solid cypress for the back and sides, a cedar neck and a spruce top. The rosette is an intricate design, unique to Manzanero, with a matching bridge embellishment. It has the regular ( non peg ) machine heads . Not only an amazing instrument but a lovely piece of Spanish guitar history.

can be supplied in its original semi hard case ( shown ) or flight spec case .

Felix Manzanero ( 1937 – 2019 ) was one of the foremost luthiers of classical and flamenco guitars in the Madrid school, and indeed in all of Europe. His classical guitars have won such prestigious prizes as First Place in Acoustics in the Concurso Internacional de Maestros Guitarreros in Tarbes, France in 1989. Manzanero is mentioned as among the best guitar makers in Spain in books by Cano, Evans, Mairants, Morish, and Urlik.
